We can also arrange off –site training at a venue near you, if this suits you better.

Our courses are designed to fit in with your busy schedules, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ideal if your night shift needs training, or you need to do a course at the weekend.

Registrations

Canterbury Driver Training Ltd is an NZTA Approved Course Provider. Scott and Philip our assessor/trainers are licenced driving instructors, and registered assessors for NZ Motor Industry(MITO) and Infratrain Industry Training Organisations (ITO’s). We are also registered with Competenz as approved forklift trainers and assessors.

We are members of several organisations. Road Transport Association (RTA), New Zealand Institute of Driver Educators Inc (NZIDE), Automobile Association (AA), NZ Trucking Association.

We also able to run courses in logbook training and load security, as well as pre- employment assessment drives, In-cab assessments and Corporate Defensive Driving courses.

National Certificates

Our courses are NZQA unit standard based and can lead to a National Certificate in Commercial Road Transport. We are able to assess for National Certificates with strands in Rigid Vehicle, Combination, Groundspreading, Livestock and Light Motor Vehicle.

Because Scott and Philip (our trainer /assessors) already hold several National Certificates in Commercial Road Transport with strands in their own areas of expertise, they have the relevant industry experience to help you achieve your own National Certificate.

Areas we service

Canterbury Driver Training Ltd is predominately based in Christchurch/Canterbury/ West Coast but we are able and do travel to other areas (dependant on numbers).
